Steven P. Garofalo became a tax partner with Raich Ende Malter & Co. LLP in June 2006.  He was formerly a tax partner with a medium-sized CPA firm where he worked for 7 years; he also was a senior tax manager at an international accounting firm.  Overall, he has over 20 years of tax and accounting experience.

Steve specializes in corporate taxation for both publicly traded and privately held corporations in multiple industries.  His experience includes taxation for consolidated corporations, partnerships, LLC’s, and high net individuals.  He has extensive experience in corporate acquisitions, disposition, tax provisions, multi-state taxation, tax examinations, tax research and planning, and ownership change for loss companies.

Steve earned his Master of Science degree from Pace University in New York City.  He has served for six years as the co-chairman of the General Taxation committee for Suffolk Chapter CPA’s.
